Water world

This was an experimental thing I did in blender. It’s essentially a water world with clouds and stars.
the water is a dielectric material when its 0.3 gloss at F0 in the Fresnel. The clouds are a texture from the blender guru’s earth tutorial where a bump map in the clouds is the clouds texture. the stars are light-emitting ico-sphere (a mouthful). the stars are emmited from a sphere. If you look closely the water world has waves which are generated by a noise bump map of… rather high scale and 3 detail. In scene/colour management/view it’s set to film. I adjusted the exposure and gamma and it turned out pretty good. A few minutes in the compositer gave it a coll glow sorta. :spin:

it was rendered in cycles btw.

Those stars caught my eye first, try to add more of those. They also seems to be too bright, it makes it look like white dots added with paint.
I prolly would use just an image texture there.

The bump map is bit too strong, it makes it look like peel of an orange.
You also might want to create atmosphere there around the world to make it look more photo realistic.

Other than that, GJ. Clouds looks good.
