Let the destruction and money sending commence.

I would send money but im a poor student, this image is ok, i think you could improve only green leaves by adding a texture maybe. But i like the attention to detail especially the book being the wrong way round. Keep it up, i wish i could make sumthing like this.

Great improvement, looks cool now. Heay, you fixed the tea. :stuck_out_tongue:

Very strong piece. The only thing I’d suggest would be to break up that wooden floor a little bit. Very rarely will you ever see a seamless flat plane of wood. Typically, from what I’ve seen, it’s segmented in strips (take a look at a wooden deck or a basketball court to get what I mean).

At any rate, very well executed.

Great scene. Nicely done textures and lighting.

Really the only thing that kills it for me is the sword-hilt which has absolutely no resemblance to a japanese sword wrapping, but I concede that that’s likely a small point to those who don’t know what to look for.

And now that you mention it…that book has its cover on backwards…

And thats not JAPANESE bamboo!! Who are you trying to fool???

All joking aside, we have to put away some pickiness when looking at Blender images for the simple reason that THEY AREN’T REAL. How could any person every concievably get every detail right in the relatively short time it takes to make these images?

I think the composition is great, and sure some of the crits are accurate, but in my opinion you’ve got yourself a great picture. Good work man.

karim: artistic license dude, artistic license (really I didn’t wanna do it quite standard, would take too long)
the book has it cover backward, not really, relative to an english book yes, but japanese books/magizines open that way as japanese read from left to right the bamboo ok yea it was built more based of of mainland asian timber bamboo, (darn, you caught me on that  ) but really there are tons of diffrent kindas, including that kind in parts of japan

Don’t worry I was only joking to prove a point

The wood texture looks a little out of perportion in relation to the objects to me… Other than that, I like it

dante

Little bit sterile, but has still something to say
BTW:

rendered in yafray with one image map
What does it mean, please?

I think he means, he only used one texture in the whole scene.
