I love your lighting setup, it really brings out the stage atmosphere. The crit I have is the color of the border, it kinda draws attention away from the great scene you’ve created.
Ven0mSevenX: Thanks so much for the encouraging feedback. I fixed the border (which looked different on my laptop). I also did a gamma correction tweak after checking it on my desktop. The image/page will need to be reloaded to see the updates in the top post.

cool image, robert, you definately nailed pavarotti. good luck man.
Thanks so much, Modron. I voted for your Zap Zootnar, btw.
I hope to see you enter the next one too. An interesting new theme we have…

RobertT what happened to your winning streak of years ago?
Apparently you let Shovel boy/Mr. Shovels/Sherlock Shovels/Super Shovel slip past you.
I like your work, now you need to work harder for the next challenge.
Cyborg Dragon: Winning is fun and nice, but it can also be limiting, sometimes a loss in another form, and, because of that realization reached quite some time ago, I have never lost a competition since
In reality, I must compete with myself to do better.
I tend to agree with what T.S. Eliot had to say in Four Quartets:
…what there is to conquer
By strength and submission, has already been discovered
Once or twice, or several times, by men whom one cannot hope
To emulate — but there is no competition —
There is only the fight to recover what has been lost
And found and lost again and again: and now, under conditions
That seem unpropitious. But perhaps neither gain nor loss.
For us, there is only the trying. The rest is not our business.

Well if you just do it for a challenge I can see where you’re going with that.
It seems now you can easily get votes based on how funny the image is and how witty the caption is. Not everyone has that in mind.
Yes, the concept of a challenge, to challenge myself to do something different, is very appealing.
For example, this particular entry took about 8 hours to get to this image after modeling, rigging, blend shapes, composition, materials, lighting, test renders, etc.
Despite going into this with a solid idea, sincere effort, and the final result being where I believed it was where needed to be, in terms of something I could honestly consider finished, there are always other dynamics at work that are beyond control or consideration.
The central idea for me, that helps me continue indefinitely and keeps it fresh and interesting, is that this was an opportunity to learn, which I did, do something different, and just to enjoy creating and having fun with ideas, like the absurdity of thirteen tenors on a stairway singing in neo-pseudo-operatic fashion about a stairway to a place like Heaven.
And, just like that, there’s the real win
