Alas, another WC project has come to a close and the result is below. There is so much I wish I could do to make this image better. I really wanted to take my texturing to a level a bit higher in quality than I did, but after many hours of tireless tweaking, I only came to the realization that its not tweaking, its wisdom, that makes a good texture. And I don’t have enough of that yet But practice makes…better. So here it is! In all its glory!
And on a final note, thankyou to all you guys for contributing suggestions and encouraging me to keep working on it. Its really helpful knowing SOMEONE is paying attention, and I wouldn’t have bothered if there wasn’t such a great audience of people here at Elysiun to bounce work off of. Thanks again!
I am really impressed by the way you got the wrinkles just right in the leather, and overall it looks really fantastic. Still could use a different texture on the face mask, but it is a minor detail. I give it two thumbs up. (I’d give it more, but I have only two.)
One thing - have you got shadows switched on? There should be a shadow underneath the helmet shouldn’t there? I know you don’t want to mess with it any more, but personally I’d give a closer and less symmetrical camera angle - the helmet is what you want to highlight and show off, not the screen behind it.
Anyway it’s a very good progression, and although I agree there’s still room for improvement, sometimes you just want to move on
