we had difficulty on how to make the dots needed for this style so we had to find a work around.

on a closer look at it you can notice the dot printed shading. We had to be able to have control over how big the dots are. we found the solution with our cottage demo.

We really liked the manga so we made one of our favorite scene in Blender. this is a proof of concept for a 3d film in a 2d manga hash shaded style.

Quite cool! But you do have quite sever moire on his back and some on the tree. You need filter that a bit harder to make it more stable :slight_smile:
