In some of the other forums I’ve been on there’s a chat thread. This is just a general discussion thread where you talk about everything and anything that you don’t think needs it’s own thread or if you just wanna talk to some people about your day. Or even someone else’s day. Such threads are always stickied, and a new one is made monthly to go easy on the servers. If any admins/mods read this please do it because I love one, and I think it would be a great addition to the already great community of BlenderArtists! Thanks!
Yeah I would also love to see something like this, I think if we can have a type of chat box were you can chat with all the users at a time or you can select the users from the list to chat. It would be a great addition to add. But I think it cannot be done like if we need it, because I think it will need some hard work to make it true and maybe some money too. Don’t know fully about this but yeah hope that we can have that kind of system too.

There is a somewhat active channel #blender on freenode.
Also, if you want to talk about just random stuff, not related to blender, why not go on some random irc channel?
Just checked #blender and #blenderchat , both are pretty filled with users, just a bit on the silent side I fear
Yeh, if people would hang out in the IRC channel instead of complaining that there’s no one there and leaving again… I guess then you’d find people there ^^

you were probably just there at a bad time. I am on quite a lot, and it is usually really active.
I do think people know what you mean, but why spam a forum with something that would be much more suited for some sort of instant messaging, like IRC?
I think then BA members should also hang on IRC chat because it would be great if we need help in like urgent or at that time. People can solve the problems of other people by chatting which in my view is great because you can get your problem solved like in seconds. WOW
Yeah it’s cool to get some live feedback as opposed to a forum, but mind you that on IRC almost any topic is discussed in a single channel. It’s already a bit of a mess when there’s 2 topics going around at the same time.
IRC is more about discussing 1 single thread at a time.

Don’t we have a kind of rooms there in IRc , that means like for blender , or any other software different rooms, so that those users can go in that room and discuss. I am also thinking to go in IRC and if anyone want to chat more than he can join me on skype. 
Now it’s turn for my question about IRC 
I have one questions about the mIRC , like it is before downloading need 20 dollars, I think I am not in a condition now to pay it. Is there any other way to get in IRCs. I am really very new so please be simple to explain me or my dumb brain will get hurt.

I haven’t seen KVIrc, that is I think free to download and use. Since MIRc need some money to use so I got like little nervous. 
I have downloaded KVIRc but cannot make it work, don’t know what is the problem , I think I cannot get connected from those servers or room they have.
