How to make a weapon that would stay in charcters arm during characters animations and movment?
Assign the vertices to a “group” with the sane name as a character’s bone ( ex: hand.R) and parent the weapon to the “armature”.

sure that’ll look nice…
but that wont actually make the weapon do anything unless you are using all physics on everything the character interacts with.
There’s gotta be a way to make close combat weapons work in the latest blender… i’m sure there’s someone out there laughing at my naievity.
