I made my own web-log about Blender. Everything’s in Dutch, but the pictures are what really matter of course 
I have to galleries. One with my own creatings, and one with the creations.
I like the general concept of the banner. Th chair looks realistic. I like the general 3D angled look.
However, I think the color choices could be improved.
Also, add something else to the banner and not a computer chair. At first glance it will give an impression of an office or a ‘sit-down’ ‘paperjob’ website. Add color to it and think something out of the box… something that you would least associate it with blender, yet it agrees as Blender has endless possibilities.
I agree.
Overall the site looks good and has some nice renderings. This only makes the banner look more simplistic.
Spruce up the lighting and materials . . . make it look as good as some of your other renderings (saw a decent one with same chair/text combo).
But of course - thanks for the new blender site!
