Hey all!
I just made myself a new website and I’d like to know what people think about it. First of all I’ve got the poll above, Also, if you think anything could be improved, please tell me. I’m still working on the artwork section because I haven’t been able to afford a paid hosting account with php/MySQL for the content management system I plan on installing.

The main text layout is very nice, but the site is a bit too images-intensive and not too good for 56k 
. Also, I don’t particularly like the links on the menu bar.
Links on the menu bar - I have learnt from experience that if all the text sizes are the same for all the buttons, then it looks much better. Also, try not to have gaps between the buttons.
Overall it’s a good design. A few ideas though:
Instead of images for the navigation bar perhaps you could use plain text with a style sheet, or something in flash. There’s quite a few free flash navigation bar generators around on the web.
Colours are a little intense, not too easy on the eye :o
Finally it would be better to segment the page with either frames or dynamic html so it doesn’t need to reload the whole page each time.
I’m not much of a fan of frames… I’ll think about Dynamic HTML, but I’m trying to keep it accessable to people on older computers. (Think Centris ;))
I put the space between the buttons because it´s alot easier to shove a new button in when they’re 5px apart than when it’s a continuous gradient. Once I finalise the design I’ll make it a solid gradient… And, although I have Flash 5 I’m not planning to use it for the site for the same reason above. (that reminds me… I need to replace the PNGs with JPEGs.)
I’m on a 56k too… It didn’t take too long before the page was readable for me. (The text took seconds and the graphics took about a minute after I cleared the cache)
BTW… The colours are supposed to be intense… I could bring them in as backgrounds in the table instead of the prepackaged grey bars. That might smooth it out somewhat… What do you think?
