Website

I am currently making a website for the ATC(Air Training Corp(Air Cadets)). I’ll probably be the only one that enters but if it’s good enough a feel a promotion coming on :D.

Apparently the bloke thats judgeing wants it to be really gimmicky with loads of animations and crap. So some code would be helpful. Also bear in mind it is an aviation website so loads of planes stuff.

The site so far is here http://www.scotland.icuknet.co.uk/atc/index.htm
it’s really basic but the general layout is there.

any ideas greatly appricated.

p.s i want to have an air rec page on it a bit like this

No one’s gonna promote you James. My dad says he hasn’t seen flash director :frowning: , but if he does he’ll let me know. If you still want my pics from the air show you wouldn’t mind metioning me on there would you? Oh BTW you need to widen the frame so that whole words fit accross it. Where’d you get the picture of the tutor?

yes i will

bugger

yes

bump :expressionless:

please help i want this site to be brilliant.
d52477001 is making a .blend file of the plane we fly for a really cool animation idea i’ve got as the opening page.

but i need some other ideas for the actatul site like the buttons and stuff.

i’ve also had an idea for page transitions. it’s going to be a plane pulling the page on to the screen like a banner. but i have no ideas how to do this.
again any suggestions would be brilliant

cheers

i had to delete the site becuase it has to be approved first but you can still give me ideas for it please

Well then, it’s hard to say something about the site because it is (was) really basic (a pic and html text).

First would be the intention of the page.

Is it for information and if so predominately for the campus ?
Is it to show a collection of “gimmicks” ?
Is it a formum for the campus ?
etc.

I’d say the layout and the amount and kind of gimmicks strongly depend on the answer to that questions.

I’d spare with gimmicks because the soon become nervy, though the one or other good one (discreet placed) could improve a site.
