Weight Paint Problems

Hey everyone!

I’m working on a project in which I want to animate a dog. It’s for a video which will be low poly.

I got the model from Blend Swap and reworked it so it fits my needs.
I put on my own armature and I can’t seem to work it out. I keep finding weight paint problems or that the armature bends in weird ways.

I was hoping I could get some help or advice.

Check my YouTube channel. I recently did a short tutorial for another member who was rigging a low poly dog. I’ll check your file out in a couple hours. You could also check that mechanism bones like the pole targets are not set to deform.

I think you should apply the Decimate modifier. Move it to the top position before applying the mod. All other issues are close to the tutorial I mentioned and can be fixed with better axis rolls, bone positions and weight painting.
