Weight paint working in one plane, other doesn't?

Hi.

This is brand new plane and subdivided by 99 (is it good amount?) to get weight painting working good:

But this older one (subdivided by 99 too and all vertices selected in edit-mode) nothing is working in Weight paint. Is it because of materials or what?

Found problem. There was Modifier: Dynamic Paint in that plane. I don’t understand why this “canvas”-setting was not working in first time, but after deleting modifier and put it back, it helps.
