Weight Paint X Ray Mode in 3.1.xx - possible bug?

Hi,
I bumped into one annoying problem and I want to be sure before reporting it as a bug.

Here is scene with rig in version 2.93, where you can clearly see back edges of mesh (as it should be):

Here is the same scene in version 3.1:

In both cases there are same settings:

I checked every Wireframe/Opacity/XRay slider and checkbox, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Okay it seems that already in 3.0 you can’t see through the model in weight paint mode… (even with all that settings) but i think because you can’t paint on the backside (or do you??) it doesn’t matter… even makes more sense to not show where you can’t paint… Or i didn’t get it…?

Yes, you can paint on back sides and it’s very helpful sometimes - if you uncheck “Front Faces Only” and switch Falloff Shape from “Sphere” to “Projected”:

Ah yes… interesting… checked and worked in 2.93 (with see through) and 3.0 (without see through)… thanks i learnt something today.

Still not working in 3.6 :roll_eyes:
