Hi, it’s my first post, so straight to the point, does blender have a way to paint weight with a mask, without use the default brush?
do you mean this thing?
I have a similar question, is it possible to paint using an object as a mask? Or have the object even “stamp” the weight paint onto another object?
No, Blender doesn’t have that.
as said above, in Edit mode select the vertices you want to paint, switch to Weight Paint mode, enable the Vertex Selection Masking option, and paint with a brush… if you don’t want to use brush, go in the Properties panel > Data > Vertex Groups, choose the value and press Assign to assign to the selected vertices
So there is no type of stencil function at all, or even a similar technique? I ask because I kinda need the paint to be rather precise based on a shape.
