Weight painting after unwrapping/texturing?

Can you alter the weight painting on a mesh without altering the unwrap and the textures (asided from some minimal stretch, etc)?

Well technically you should be weight painting after you texture and Unwrap. So that the UV Tex is altered by the posing. But in answer to your question as long as you don’t physically move any of the verts drastically or (god forbid) delete any, you should be fine changing the weight painting.

But someone else can probably explain a ton better than I can right now…
