weightpaint Problems: Blur weightpaint on other objects and pick color?

Hi,

I have few problems weight painting clothes on a character.

First bluring seams to only work on one peace and doesnt bleed into others. “Limit selection to view” doesnt seam to make a difference. Also it is really weak and only has a real impact on red parts. Is there something like smudge?
Color picking would also help is it possible?

Don’t know if this will help in your blend, but I had to turn on accumulate. I know the change that Barton put in was to use connected edges rather than what was under the brush (kept Blender from crashing). Strength controls the blur and accumulate adds the strokes together. Took a while to get used to.
