Weird Normals

I had a model that I had added armatures and everything. Then when I rendered it I came out with a wired “texture” on the model (see picture on left) I did not add a texture, I even recalculated normals and came out with this. It does that for every lamp, except hemi. (see picture on right) it comes out fine, just the way I want it to. Can anybody tell me what is wrong?


Probably lots of doubled faces. In edit mode select all, then W->Remove Doubles.

That did not help, it says “removed 0 doubles”. Thanks for the suggestion though.
