What about using nodes to control modifiers?

What do you think about this concept? Instead of using a stack, you’d simply use nodes to control modifiers. Integrated into 2.5 perhaps? So you’d have manterial nodes next is composition nodes next texture nodes and then modifier nodes.

What do you think? Personally I’d love this feature because my brain works well with nodes (visual object oriented stuff you know…)

Robin Allen was planning to do something similar to this with his proposal for a unified node system where textures could control modifiers and such, Brecht killed that idea after repeatedly explaining how it wouldn’t make sense in a working form though.
