What are some good programs to learn computer graphics?

I am a beginner and very much interested in computer graphics. I need some good starter programs for learning the basics of computer graphics.

Please pass on your suggestions.

computer grapics? thats 1 step above computers. there are 2d and 3d and all the variouse types of them. from pure text to sprites the latest 3d game. it’s like asking about vehicle mechanics. a jet mechanic is going to be different than a car mechanic which will be different than a bicycle mechanic. give a for instance, what do you want to make? if you ment learn blender and 3d graphics try http://www.gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html . it only looks plain until your start clicking on things. start with learning unit 1.
