What are these dashed lines?

After performing the steps of Parenting objects, then duplicating that set, I noticed these dashed lines.

  1. What are they?
  2. Should I be concerned with them?
  3. Do they represent a mismatch of direction since I had to rotate the duplicated objects 180 degrees on the Z-axis?

  1. What are they?
Relationship lines. You can turn on/off their display in the properties panel (N) under Display

    No

    No

Those are “relationship lines” indicating the parent-child connection. They will be different colors depending on how objects are linked. You can turn them on/off in the Properties panel (N key)->Display: Relationship lines.

Relationship lines… good to know. Are they at a diagonal like that because of the rotation I performed? What’s a good reason to know why they’re linked like that?

They are at a diagonal because that is a direct line between the origin points of the two objects.
