What are your goals/dreams etc. this summer?

I haven’t seen a thread like this around, but if there is one this can be deleted. :slight_smile:

What are your goals this summer? Not plans, per se – not “I’m going to hawaii” – but things you hope to accomplish.

Mine are as follows (in no order):

  • Get my website finished an online and do some paid work
  • Improve my guitar skills
  • Write a short story for a contest at my library
  • Finish reading ‘the law of dreams’, which I started several months ago
  • Build a longboard
  • Clean my room
  • Keep my room clean

Enjoy my new computer when it gets here, and sell more art:)

  • Finish CellZenith
  • Start our title ‘END’ (sounds funny)
  • Go fishing more
  • Play guitar more
  • Do something productive to improve Blender (I have been trying to develop something since day 1)

Me too. Also I want to make a competent cyborg head and get back into programming.

Tell me about it… I haven’t really tried python or anything, but I feel like I owe the community something:rolleyes:

  • contribute to the Blender community via tutorials
  • establish myself as an artist and web designer
  • finalize a website design for myself
  • continue to grow my blog
  • get some jobs to raise some money for college :slight_smile:

Make something that would go to the gallery
Finish my Link Inspired Character Project…(that would be the 1st thing iv ever finished lol)
My Goal was to get sponsored by a skateboard company…like a little one…but i broke me foot so ill have to hold off till next year =(
when i get my walking cast off im wanna land these tricks on my skateboard
land a treflip
land a double kickflip
nollie kickflips
ollie the grass at my school

animation wise
learn how to rig better
learn how to do a walk cycle
Animate my character

thos are my goals…some will get done

Goals fo sho:

-Get my band going
-Progress as a digital artist(specifically 2d)
-Paint paint paint
-Get my band going
-Find a decent chick who doesn’t serve drama for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
-Grow my hair out a bit
-Get my band going

-Get a solid workout schedule going that I follow for more than a couple weeks
-Get a sick tan(halfway there)

I always have a lot of goals for the summer. Last summer I hadInto the Titan but this summer I don’t have any game projects I’m really interested in. So I have a bunch of more varied goals instead:
-Artwork (inspiration providing)
-Write as much as possible (this has been harder than I expected)
-Read all the books I didn’t get a chance to when school was in session
-Play the violin (less of this since the heat started. Sigh)
-Always have to work on that webcomicnow
-Working on a photography project (hard to explain, nothing online yet. All in good time)

That’s all I can remember at the moment, although I think there are other things.

Mine are as follows:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of blender
  • Complete a list of tests I’ve created using Blender
  • Gather content to start a demo reel
  • Complete the script for my first real vfx production (using Celtx [www.celtx.com] )
  • Begin on the trailer for my first real vfx production
  • ENJOY THE REST OF MY SUMMER!!!

  1. Build onto my house, it’s way too small.
  2. Build a new pc.
  3. Two girls at once. :yes: (hey, someone had to say it!)

The first two are possible, but my wife says the third one won’t happen.

  • Finish the translation job I’ve been working for the last two weeks - Blender practicing - Finish my game’s story/plot/everything else - Research and resource finding for the game - Finish my first game (ASAP of course, it’s a miracle if it finished this summer) - Try to find a spare time to build my own site. @blndr08: I’ll be waiting for that tutorial. Salute!

Dangit! I knew Id forgotten something… Really? Well I live in Cali, but Im not so much of a surfer… though I do love the ocean(who doesnt?!).

Haha, hopefully surfer is a cool thing… Though I think(what with all the band stuff) you probably meant beach bum xP
