I have a model I want to 3D print. It is water tight and solid no overlapping faces. IM haring that some models may have portions that are not thick enough to print,
What else is there to consider for a 3D print

check the max min spec for the material use for printing in 3D
this will give you some of the restrictions or constraints
and usually need to be watertight !
you can make your 3D models in blender then export it to the soft use for printing in 3D
good luck
happy bl
Minimum thickness will depend on the printer being used and the material being used to print and your model itself. Check your printer documentation or printers website for limits
You can enable the 3D Print Toolbox addon that comes with blender to check your model http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Modeling/PrintToolbox
ok thanks!
Ok I added the 3D print tool, How do I use it?
