What do you think about my modelling skills on this model? and what can I improve?

Hello, guys. I have a question: what do you guys think about my modelling skills to recreate this animatronic acorn called Beta Nutty (from a FNaF fangame called Five Nights at Nutty’s 2) in an accurate way? If you guys don’t think it’s accurate, what can I improve to make the model even more accurate to the ref image?

Here’s some screenshots of my W.I.P Beta Nutty recreation. I still didn’t made the rest of the materials, the “acorn hat with a spring with an trapezium on top” part and the endoskeleton.

Here’s the ref image:

It looks like a different character to me.
It may look different because all the configurations are not finished yet, but I don’t think my personal opinion is accurate.

The original character is not a round ball, but a slightly angled shape. I think the basic shape is similar to acorns.

It seems necessary to put the reference image in the background, compare it with the image, and adjust the proportion of the characters.
Also, the composition of the part connecting the legs and torso is completely different.
And each coffin has a sphere.

Oh. I had placed the reference image in the scene next to the 3D model (because the image shows the character in a pose at a certain angle). I also used a reference image of his hand (I edited an image of him giving a thumbs up so that only his hand was visible on the image, so that I could make the hand). As for the “spheres,” I placed spheres between the fingers. Yeah, I understand it was really hard to see the spheres between the fingers in the images I sent.

Speaking of other model parts, how can I make his shoes more accurate to the ref? I tried to use a cube, modified the cube, add subdivision, loop cuts and bevel in a part, but the result wasn’t accurate.

And about the head, yeah it should be like an acorn shaped head. But now idk if I need to redo the entire model or just edit the head…

Shoes are made using boxes. They can be made without difficulty.

Hi, i would suggested finish this character as you made him, and give him another Nutty name,
Then use a copy of that character and try to make it more accurate to the original. After all it’s a good exercise in modelling.
