while i’m watching a tutorial it said to use the follow active squads feature in uv unwrapping menu . but it didn’t tell what it does .
Basically, it makes a tidy quads structure in your uv map. So say you unwrap and it’s all quads, but the uv has a curve to it, it straightens them out.
The UV on the left was done simply unwrapping the shape, the one on the right, I unwrap, reset, (that can make a difference with floow active quads), then used follow atcive quads. As you can see, it would be easier to apply things like lines to the right had UV map.
