You should have seen what Blender user had to endure. Unless you had Maya and Zbrush you were peasant.
Interesting topic.over the years i have been on many forums,i have stayed with basically all iterations of blender Elysiun is the last i remember before this forum.i believe there was another but,i don’t remember.my 2cents is about the same as above,social media.i had a facebook account for sometime.
but i militantly abhorred what it was becoming.so bye bye facebook .i much prefer a forum dedicated to whatever software i am using.sadly other forums are indeed elitist narcissists.i have found over time,community driven forums are far superior .there aren’t many left.This site is thriving.
the vast amount of users here are polite helpful and understanding.i have had 3dstudio max,sold my license.i have modo 701,still own it don’t want to upgrade.i stick by blender.it just works.
i do use substance,the old quixel,ps,ai,blah blah.but it comes down to community.
