what happened to the old UV layout script?

There used to be a UV layout script in blender, not too many versions ago, that would unwrap any mesh (even without seams) to a very blocky layout reminiscent of quake character UV maps. It was called “someone’s Projection UV layout” or something like that. Very useful if you just want the UV layed out for procedural baking purposes.
I should have kept all those old blender installs!

In “UV face Select” mode, U > Unwrap (smart projection) ? This script should have been implemented in the Unwrap menu, I guess.
