What happens to the output file name if there are more than 9999 frames?

Blender seems to be making the output file name 4-digit. For example, if my animation has 30 frames, the files names are 0001.png to 0030.png.

What happens if the animation has more than 9999 frames?

  1. File names become 00001.png to 10000.png
  2. File names become 0001.png to 10000.png

better way to know it ll be to calculate a blank image animation of 2 by 2 pixels/10000 frames…

If you are worried; Use the # for each number slot you want.

see the docs:

No, I am not worried about that happening to me. I just want to know what happens by default.

Then by default your #2 choice.
