Yeah , but what does it do in games (for example)?

paralax is the effect of one object obsuring a more distant one and unobsuring it as you move side to side relative to the two

so stars for example… stellar parallax is how the nearer ones shift relative to the more distant ones as the earth moves around the sun [it isn’t noticable but it happens]

for games this is handled by your fancy graphics card…

however parallax mapping is a technique to attempt this effect on a surface. For example, a cobblestone alley. If you move close enough to the stones the nearer ones will obscure the further ones. There are more and less fancy ways to do this, the less fancy ways fail when you get close because they don’t let one stone obscure further ones [but it looks okay when you’re further away].

Currently I’m working on Crystal Core and Crystal Space itself so CrystalBlend is slightly on hold. I will resume it shortly.

No , they were posted yesterday.I check out that link everyday.Those features were posted yesterday.Today he added specular.That “wiki hasn’t been updated in ages” thingy was posted before those features were posted.

Hehe, everyday ehh. :wink: Lol almost like when I was checking out the release of Black and White 2, and it’s here now.

Hmm, Jorrit still seems to have the same problems listed (Guess they’re really tough ones). :slight_smile: Now that you mention it some things are new, don’t think he had bumpmapping before too when I checked it back then. Also the addition of extra CS futures in blender’s world settings.

Well, now crystal blend has full physics support (yesterday it was still in the Issues list).Ok , why am i remembering so many things :-? .I guess this is what happens to a person , who is sick,stays home all week and has nothing to do , hehe :slight_smile: …stupid temperature :x .
