Area lights not reflecting in diffuse shader???!
Can anyone explain?
Diffuse is just that, a diffuse component (meaning the shader doesn’t actually reflect anything).
Mix a glossy shader into the material to make it reflect the light.
Just increase the power of the emission shader.
Since you seem to be fairly new at using Cycles, I suggest you read through the manual before moving any further.
Sorry, but it’s just different in 2.78. I’ve been using cycles for 8 months.
share your file, don’t make us guess… what?
You got Clamp Direct set to 0.3. It limits the maximum output of any surface.
