I am a total fruityloops junky since I’m ~18, and very often on my days off, or barely after work if I could.
I’ve been messing with synths and samples. As well as many different cut of filters, Equalizers, reverbs or other effects controlled by envelopes and so on while messing with some gaming stuff in between and just general listening to music.
Since I was 18, i’ve had quite a few types of headphones, as well as my favourite records to which i’d plug in if i’ve got a chance to test some headphones before i’d buy them just to hear those records and feel how the sound is feeling through a particular gear and compare to what i’ve heard through the best ones which i’ve experienced to listen through.
Never had a headset in my life before, but lately i’ve bought second hand Beexellent GM-1,
and to be honest I’m quite impressed of how they sound while i’ve never used the mic of them tough.
And basically i’d say that they’re not bad at all for messing with the monstrous fruityloops software and listening to music. They Dang! While they also have a blue light illuminating from the snake design once their usb of mic is jacked in which may reflect in screens of some laptop users if they turn their head.
But to be completely honest, the best ones I’ve ever used were SONY MDR XB700.
Which i’d call a must have item for headphones of some certain price range
(not talking about those for which You’d need spend more than 500-2k and up which i’ve never even looked at or tried)
But unfortunately MDRXB 700 has no mic. Their quality of sound and how they coped with low frequency bass sines was totally mind blowing and ofc they didn’t trip to take care of high frequencies either.
There were at least 10-15 many different good headphones i’ve had, and few very popular and even pricy ones which I had a chance to check out. But they’re not worth to mention because MDR XB700 won. And they are SUPER MEGA comfortable and not that expensive. And in fact they are so comfy and soft that You could go to sleep with them on a pillow with no probs with once again incredible sound while the mic can always be a separate device.
To take the break of big ones while going outside i’d go for JBL Tune 110 In-Ears which I loved using for my laptop while fruityloops at times. They totally bang for in-ears!
Then lately I’ve bought Jabra Elite 65T which were good on my old Redmi Note Pro 9 before I crashed it and now they seem to be more silent than on the previous phone but still better than nothing or walking around with gamer headset because I decided to go for something new and have something without wires.
A long time ago i’ve had creative usb soundcard. Sound Blaster and I had nothing bad to say about them. Their settings were always on default as i’d be always tweaking stuff in fl if id want to manipulate any sound so that I don’t mess up defaults for those who heard what I made without extra sound adjustments.
Same, I was surprised about that too.
But often I feel like Windows 10 should have an Equalizer next to volume adjustments at least.
For example while playing games in which a lot of weapons are being used. I’d prefer some LP cut off filter rather than turning off highs so that I don’t damage my hearing while I wont hear the footsteps otherwise because some sounds just seem too sharp.
But I really believe that in close future or in next windows os it may be possible to download and not even just that.
While I was surprised that external sound cards would include effects like Reverb which I’d never use for
turning up if for example I am listening to some of my fav music or just checking something out with hopes that it will be something worth listening of as I am not movie watcher at all. And I am trying to conquer my will power and stop playing any kind of games at all but to focus on what I can do with Blender.
It is an audio tool to record and adjust the audio of various inputs and send it to outputs too
It also has a build-I 10 band equalizer module too
I was trying to with it to rebuild the deep base profile but then noticed that the actual frequency adjusted is not directly at the end but a tick before that.
