what is your IQ?

Hi & my IQ is 131

and you?

ps: i’m not a native english speaker

While the test is remarkably valid for English speaking adults, there is some decrease in validity for those who do not speak English well and for those under sixteen years of age.

I got a 143 but don’t see how it makes me any smarter then anyone else.

Online IQ tests may be inaccurate, so I wouldn’t take the results of these at face value. The most valid of IQ tests are generally administered as a battery or mental, contextual, and memory tests by a human physician that can last over an hour.

I took an IQ test at school by an actual physician in the 7th grade and scored around 136 on brainpower despite being just below 100 on writing. A few years later I took one by a physician who had his own office and found I scored pretty high on it (though never knowing what the exact score was)

Online IQ tests may be fun, but in the end may not be that accurate.

I only made an IQ test answering some questions in a TV program. I got something like 65… not bad for the first try, is it? :eyebrowlift:. My colleagues got from 120 on. They cheaters!!

Never tried again. They are way too long… and somehow boring :P.

I got 143, but is has been as high as 164…

P.S. For those who are wondering what the numbers equate to look here ( http://iq-test.learninginfo.org/iq04.htm )

@NoeOM : You might want to take the test again… 65 is well below average

I only do these tests to practice and have some fun. The results may vary drastically. Today I got 135. I already got as low as around 120 and as high as around 150. Looks like we have maybe a coincidence here? My average seems to be around 135 :stuck_out_tongue:

My results varied a lot. This time, I scored lowest with 125. Most of the time, I get something around 140-145. Once, I had 165.

random1 = 72
random2 = 73
all true = 88
all false = 82
alternating starting with true = 102
alternating starting with false = 69
double alternating starting with true = 90
double alternating starting with false = 91

Just in case you all were wondering. :stuck_out_tongue: My first time through I actually did it more or less and came out with 130, though I doubt that score means much of anything honestly. I wasn’t really looking but I believe it is giving the exact same questions over and over, so if you wanted to spend the time to ensure you know all the correct answers I would be curious how high you can push the score.

but if this thing does hold any validity then I feel sorry that and alternating score can achieve better results then 50% of people.

heheh Nice one, Atemporalskill.

According to that site, by “alternating starting with true” you can be:
Machine Operator; Shopkeeper; Butcher; Welder; Sheet Metal Worker.

Not a bad deal for some :stuck_out_tongue:

Most online tests are invalid, I got 132, but I was actually tested when I was about 8 and got 120, so around that area is fine by me. 164 is probably very unlikely because the higher your score is, the more unlikely it’s correct, considering IQ tests aren’t made to test so far above average, and since 164 is four standard deviations above normal, I consider it very unlikely.

179… I guess that i’m smarter than all of you…

Pretty much what I was about to say if I saw people continually posting high scores, if everyone on this forum and most other places around the internet is scoring about 130 then the average IQ level would not be just 100.

Maybe Blender users are just smarter than the rest?

But that test is horribly flawed (like most daft internet tests), it’s got no internal validity or reliability. Any psychometric test worth the price companies etc. pay the researchers who develop them have all kinds of ways to check if your using a certain pattern to answer questions, that this one clearly lacks. Furthermore, it seems to be just a series of maths and english questions there seems to be no questions addressing fluid or crystallized intelligence, logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, working memory etc. (underlying cognitive factors that real IQ tests messure). In short, a load of rubbish.

And so what is it to you anyway? Show us!

I had 121. I had to do a diaper change on my baby during the test :D.

I think these online test are crap. They just want you to pay the 9.95 dollars to do the real test.

Like CD said. If every one had 130 then the average wouldn’t be 98. Actually to get a score below 100 on these online test would be proven hard to acquire. I think the lowest I’ve seen was 110.

I think knowing your IQ is a sign of a deep need to compensate.

I think so too.

What would you call a person that has MENSA’s own mail service as default email address? Like [email protected].

Genuinely tragic.

I was tested for real maybe 22 years ago (I’m 37 now) and scored a 130. No idea what it is now, and haven’t taken the online test, as I can’t imagine it’s accurate. I’m curious to be tested again, but nervous as well, in case I come back with a 60 or something, in which case I’d probably end up with a live-in assistant who’d congratulate me for using the toilette properly and say things like “Good job buddy!” all the time (family guy episode).
