What model formats work in the newest blender

Maya? cinema4d etc?
is there a list other than the new blender software which i have not installed yet ( does not like win7)
thanks all

Out of the box, you can import a wide range of file formats, including FBX, OBJ, DAE, and others. You can see them all in the File > Import menu. There’s addons that add even more options- you can find those in Preferences > Addons > Import/Export

AFAIK you can’t import Maya .mb files into CinemaC4 nor .c4d into 3DSmax nor .max into Maya…

Anyway: see here wedesignvirtual.com which-file-formats-does-blender-support …

Some of this are native, some are included addons and there are also other addons (for example for game engines like Godot or used in games)

That doesn’t list fbx input.

Also, technically it could export svg via freestyle lines and such i think?

Yes it is from 2020… sorry

No personal experience with this link, but you may find some use for https://www.101convert.com (free trial period seems to be possible).

Thanks all

These are the officially supported formats from Blender:

Dam… i found the images before but totally overlooked this :+1:

again thanks for your help.
does not look like any more files types have been included in the new and improved versions.

Are you searching for a specific one?? …as said… there are a lot of addons out there…

No, just wanted to know what was available, before i consider switching to the new blender which would mean buying a windows 10 computer.
old version works fine on win7
thanks
