What motivates you?

Change motivates me.

I can’t stand being involved in something that isn’t changing or achieving something.
Don’t let me stagnate.

Well, I can’t say that i disagree with “Cash rules everything around me, cream get the money” cos money brings freedom. But at work I’m also motivated by my interest in my job and wanting to be the best I can be at it; at home love for my fam and friends.

The hope that someday someone will offer to pay me to do what I love.

What some will pay for you to be a moderator Plantperson ?

You do an excellent job by the way.

Fastest reply in the west, kbot. And nice guess, but moderation is not my ideal job. My ideal job (I think) would be to invent fictional universes for storytelling, as in what Roddenberry did for Star Trek, and Tolkien did for Middle-Earth. Think of people like Neil Gaiman and Joss Whedon, who’ve been lucky enough to be involved in the creation of dozens of fictional universes. That’s sort of what I’d like to do, only with slightly more art involved. Concept artist is a close second.

And thanks for the compliment.

Knowing I will get money for my artwork is part of what motivates me.

That and the fact I should be doing something and thinking I’ll be a big success one day.

What are you going to do with that money CD??
Why do you need green paper to live??

People have managed to live without green paper for thousands of years…and all of them were not unhappy…I wonder why we need numbers in our heads to survive. Everything is based on the left brain, numbers calculations…what if we could come up with a money system, but for the right brain.

Uhhh thinking thinking…I think we need to reorgnanize the ant nest…aka the human society. But the only thing that could make that happen is a big event. Have any of you seen V for Vendetta? That is the world we live in, it’s dirty depressing, and the ants who don’t understand that, are hypnotized by Oprah, Dr Phil and TV in general…

The ant nest needs to be divided, cause this planet needs change…!!

What am I talking about :stuck_out_tongue:
Keep dreaming guys…you all prefer to use the right brain, you just like me hate the left brain…the human population is divided. There is a left brained and right brained group, right now the left brains are ruling this world.

The archtiect in Matrix…we should fight for the oracle! It’s the truth and it’s sad, they are working machines we are philosopers. But who are they??? And how should we gain power in a society based on the left brain?

  1. Curiousity - the need to learn, to see, to experience something never known before
  2. Creativity - the need to make something new
  3. Service - the need to help others, to leave a positive mark on others and by extension the world
  4. Humor - because nobody gets out of here alive, and we might as well have some fun while we’re here.

I made the decision a long time ago to do my best to maintain a positive outlook, to decide to be happy, to decide not to hold grudges or let past hurts rule my life. I don’t always succeed, but I do always recognize that it’s my decision how I’m going to respond to whatever life throws at me.

And I’m a lot happier when I decide to be happy…

Peace.

well art aint quite my thing but i really did enjoy drawings them stick figures back in the day. And after seeing some of the amazing stuff around the web, i thought i might give a crack at it. And so…here i am. Motivation for me comes from making something good (yet to be archived:))

-cheers

[sarcasm]yes, and why not include Tyler Durden in that little speech too.[/sarcasm]

Please think about what you post next time. Or failing that, stop using the left side of your brain entirely, and see how far you get. Hint: without it you’d be unable to articulate even the most simply idea.

Learning new things.

What motivates me is waking up in the morning and telling myself that I am the best! The most wonderful, and most special person in the world! If we all come down to this planet to compete, then I might as well give myself a head start and start my own fan club.

Nothing motivates me which is why I’ve done nothing but sleep and screw off… nothing is fun anymore

My motivation is that feeling you get when you actually finish something. It doesn’t matter what, as long as it wasn’t very easy to do and improved your skill set. It’s like a drug!

I guess that’s one of many reasons why art attracts me.
