umm I recently starting working with Blender and it is my first modeling program I have tryed and I know the basics and I was wondering what would be a good think to try and do?

What I meant was everything I think off is simply to hard for my skill and dispite hours on them I do not get anywhere. soo I was wondering what would be a good thing to model for a beginner.
On the main page of this web site - bottom right hand corner - there is a manual you can view or download. Its very helpful. I am using it myself. Also, order the Blender Book. It is a great resource for learning all part of blender. Then the tutorials make sense. I was at your point a few months ago.
Look for the Blender coffee cup tutorial.
I’m not sure about you, but I practiced modelling by taking simple household items, like pens, knives, jars, etc. and I mesured them and tried to reproduce them exactly in blender by using the grid as a measurement (1 unit = 1cm)… And to remember to use the Ctrl and Shift when moving and scaling and rotating items.
This way, you get used to the tools and methods
