What will Audaspace do for me?

Great to see a Gsoc project arriving in trunk early, but what improvements will it bring to Blender? Is it just for the game side or can I harness its features in the VSE too? Can Python scripts make audio effects (like low/high pass shelf) to apply to strips?

Yes i looked at the wiki, no I’m not sure what it all means.

Thanks for any advice.

Looking at http://vimeo.com/8490616 I wondered if that means we could drive an f-curve as a compressor on a audio source? Taking its own levels as an invert or roll off function?

In Soviet Amerika you do for Audaspace

Sure I know get out what you put in, but whats it for-generally. I cant find an overview of its function.

_ a lot _ , the off sync in VSE been bugging me for a while now. and I had even terrible glitches when it started to play a sound strip.

hopefully all those will be ironed out.

Ok, more digging (not hard but not clear) http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:NeXyon/GSoC2010/Proposals

Audaspace is a 3D spatiallising feature, placing audio effects in 3space.

From a stereo VSE users point of view I hope that Audio effects are still on the table. I am clueless about python but see the value in sound improvements for Blender (especially proper output).
