When Linking a character the Rig Breaks

Hello,

Ive been animating for a while now and very often had one and the same issue.
after rigging a character they tend to collapse in on themselves inside the scene theyre linked to.
I allways make sure to link the entire collection he is contained in.
in the origin scene everything works as expected tho.
how do i fix this?

I can’t confirm, but this kind of issue usually is related to Unapplied Scale on the Objects (more likely the Armature Object). If that’s the case, however, the problem is that Applying Scale especially on Rigged Models can cause wreak havoc (depending on the case); which is fixable… but the range of challenge varies. If interested, check the video. :sweat_smile:

Also, make sure that World Scales in the 2 files, of the 3D Character and of the Scenerii, are matching. Besides of the Objects’ Scale, here are some extra size features which relate the subject, especially when it comes to different Scenes or Blender files:

Selected Object Scale of course, but also: [Global/Absolute] Dimensions I believe, but I do not know how such Object Dimensions might interact with the other UI features.
