Here is my latest work with Blender, a video for swedish artist Peter Lindberg - “When the Night is Here” - which is the first single from his coming album “A Good Night Became A Good Day”.
I’ve done most of it myself. I filmed Peter with a few simple setups using a Panasonic GH3. Digital environments were created and rendered in Blender, comps made in AfterEffects, editing and grading done with Premiere Pro. The statues are 3D scans from Sketchfab, most of the background buildings come from Kitbash3D. The digital stand-in comes from Mixamo. Everything else I modelled and animated.
The butterflies are the star of every scene! Overflowing with life and colour. Not so much the gliding mechanical boat though.
I hear echoes of “Let’s Dance” somewhere in the lyrics, which is nice.
Incredible work! I love the energy and vibe of this video a lot. One thing I would work on if you have time is the scene he is sitting in the chair - could look a bit more realistic if that was the intention.
A very nice blender animation project! Well done!
This looks really nice, but your CC attributions in the video need a little work - just mentioning the artist name is not enough. They should look something like this (this is not for one of the models you used):
“Recumbent lion” (https://skfb.ly/XQWn) by Geoffrey Marchal is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
When you download a model from Sketchfab, you can copy these licenses.
Credit slate of video and also the description at the Vimeo page updated with correct CC attributions. Thanks for the heads-up!
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
Thank you! I’m truly honored. Have a fantastic weekend!
