"When the Time Comes"

Hi everyone. I strike back. Here is the link to my second render. You’ll see I made progress. It took me about 5 hours. I wanted to add some DoF on the leave, but I don’t understand z-blur. It blurs everything but that F%#ing leave. :-? Maybe another day. Now, it’s 1 a.m. and I’m tired.
So that link, yeah:

I’m waiting for your comments.
Sleep tight.

PS: at this time of day my alias makes sens

wow its really nice - basic modeling that could be better but wow it has mood and everything - makes you totally over look the lack of detail in the mesh

very good!

I agree with tmtechie, nice basic modeling and texturing, but very moody. I like your choice of colors also.

 yep nice atmosphere, use of colours,

-post cencored due to cursing-

Very nice, though subsurfacing would make it even nicer

I don’t know how subsurf works… Does anybody know of a good tutorial about that stuff?
And thanks for your comments. I worked hard on the mood especialy to mask my lacks in modeling
See you, dudes

just turn them on.

select mesh object.
in edit buttons, locate “subsurf” button (on the left).
press that, and under the button, select level of subsurfing.
“subdiv: 0” “0”

the first value is what you see on the screen, second is what will be rendered. normally 1-2 is enough. 3 if you want really smooth.

hmmm…if you make the camera track an empty named Focal Point, then set the settings in sequencer with autofocus off…that might help, thats how i think the example file of zblur does it, unless im missing something…i always import the camera and focal point straight from the example file and use that.

Great image, by the way,
