when to use sculpt mode or edit mode

hello. i’m new to blender. actually, i’m new to 3D modelling.
i already watch some tutorial. but i’m getting confused. some of them just make a model / character using edit mode. and some of them using sculpt mode.
i want to know. when should i modelling using sculpt mode. or edit mode.

hello. i’m new to blender. actually, i’m new to 3D modelling.
Then you don’t need to worry about such things.
Learn what each tool does, practise and then you’ll eventually know what tool would be most appropriate for whatever you are doing.

Of course, this is esoteric knowledge that will come when the time is right, often after 40 hours of reading random forum threads and watching mumbly youtube tutorials, so just asking a question is too easy, even on a forum.

As a newbie there’s a lot to figure out, and sometimes answers to the bigger questions help the smaller details to fall into place more easily.

From Blender.org; “Sculpt Mode is primarily a tool for creating organic shapes with curved surfaces rather than mechanical shapes with flat surfaces and hard edges.” So my 5-posts-worht guess would be; sculpt mode for organic shapes and edit mode for hard surface modeling.

so things like that shouldn’t be worried about ?
