whera can i get free webspace

Hello, can someone tell me a better website than Geocities, to put all my blender work and stuff (that allows direct image linking, more bandwidth, etc.)

thanks

http://www.doteasy.com/ <— try this. 20 megs. Not sure about linking though. I used to have a bunch of links to some really nice ones, but all of those were lost when my computer crashed. :expressionless:

thanks

Here’s the company I use. Its perfect for this purpose and CHEAP.

$83.40 Per Year You get:

  • Free Domain Name
  • Microsoft .NET server
  • Full support of ASP, ASP.NET
  • Full support of C#, J# or VB.NET, PERL, PHP and ODBC
  • 500 MB of web space
  • 25 GB monthly transfer
  • Unlimited POP3 Accounts
  • Web Control Panel
  • Web mail
  • Creation of subdomains from your control panel (two free ones actually)
  • NO BANNER ADS OR POPUPS (big plus in my mind)
  • FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions
  • MySql Server Database
  • Server Side Includes
  • Password protected directories
  • Stats and log files
  • No Setup Fee
  • 24 Hour help desk (Usually takes about 12 hours to respond in my experience)

The best part is that there’s a price freeze guarantee meaning that when you sign up, that’ll be your price for the rest of the time you have an account with them. Even if they upgrade your account (which they’ve done with mine three times now) they still charge the same price that they did when you sign up. Good stuff eh?

Now…its not the best company out there, but its damn good for the money so far as I can tell, and as you guys can see it works great for hosting images. Its not the fastest thing out there, but it works better than Geocitties and the lot. This isn’t a plug, I just thought everyone should know.

If you’re only interested in having a place for your work and don’t really need all the features of a full host, you might wanna consider Mr. Hostbot. No space constraints, high-speed connection. $6 gets you a Gig of bandwidth. $10 gets you 2 GB. You pay for your files to be transferred, not for them to sit on the drive. It’s an excellent system for sharing art, I think.

thank you everyone for your replies  . yes im just interesed in space, where i can upload a simple HTML containing my gallery and stuff, 15 mb space is not too bad considering its free, but there are too much ads and i get a message telling me that the webpage is blocked for an hour beccause the bandwidth exceeded or something (geocities). i just found a place called www.miarroba.com (spanish) wich i find very good:

-25 megabytes space
-very little ads (one small logo of MIARROBA (the company) in the webpage, and one ad every 24 hours.)
-1 gb bandwith transfer thingy daily (yes, DAILY)
-Supports MYSQL and php4
-statistics about the website
MYNAME.webcindario.com

and everything free…

you can upload through the website or sing a ftp program

i dont know but it sounds convenient for me, and a lot better, i just hope i can transfer the HTML i made with Yahoo Pagebuilder LoL.so im moving.

i just found out the bad side of miarroba.com … maximum 1 megabyte each file :expressionless: :frowning:

Doh!
