Where and what is the "scripts window"? (yup, I have looked at docs and all)

I’m trying to get a script working, and apparently I’m supposed to use this magical “scripts window”. Problem is I can’t find anything called that anywhere in the gui, and I’ve tried all window options that I can find.

I can’t find anything about it on the Noob to Pro docs either. Well, I can find it mentioned, but no mention of how to actually access it.

If some obscure docs page does cover this feel free to point me at it.

(if some obscure docs page covers it, perhaps said page should be less obscure, if no docs pages covers it, this would explain why I can’t find it).

Change a window to a Text Editor window to type and run scripts. What are you trying to do ?

The ‘Scripts’ window was used in blender up until version 2.49b http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Manual/Interface/Window_types

Ah, so Noob to Pro docs need updating. I thought it might be the text editor but wasn’t sure.

I’m trying to run a script that CoDEmanX has kindly written for me. Not having much luck yet (have tried it in the text editor window).

Version compatibility: Blender is under continual development, and some of the following tutorials were written for older versions and have not (yet) been updated to the current version. In particular, major changes in the user interface and scripting API took place beginning with the 2.5x series. If you find outdated content, feel free to edit as required to bring it up to date.
