I’m trying out Blender 2.6 for the first time. 
No manual? No non-video tutorials? 
It’s a good thing I’m getting paid by the hour or this would be really frustrating.
So…I can’t find the subsurf modifier. Anybody know where it got moved to/renamed as?

The subsurf modifier from 2.4x is in the modifiers panel in blender 2.5x. The same keyboard shortcuts for subsurf from 2.4x also work the same in 2.5x
If you want tutorials just watch some of the gazillion tutorials for blender 2.5 on the internet

This is interesting; it seems that last time I had Blender open the bottom two options (Subdivision Surface and Wave) were somehow cut off. Now they are visible. (Yes, I did use the little arrow button to peek at the hidden options.) Sigh. I assumed the 2.5 tutorials must be out of date, but no…
