where can i get voices for my characters? OR....

I have no life, so blender is perfect for me. But now I ran into a problem that I have yet to find in any of the forums in this site…they (my characters) all sound like me. Is there anyone out there that is aware of any programs (preferably freeware or shareware) that has the capability to give my characters thier own unique voices (and sound real?)or a text to speech program that has voices that can be modified and added to my work? The only ones that I have found so far all sound too robotic or electronic. Like I said, I have no life and what friends Ido have, wont take recording seriously. Not to mention I dont want them having to come over all the time just so I can test my animations. Please help. :frowning:

Why don’t you try competing in the 10 second club animation contest.

Anthrghst2, or if you want to make your own, try Audacity. It’s open source. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

With Audacity, you hit the record button, start talking into the your mic. Stop to finish recording. Then you can alter your voice by highlighting your voice, then Effects>Change Pitch. Say something like 20% and you get a real funny voice. Then export your voice as a wav file.

There’s also some tutorials the Audacity site.

there’s a sweet AT&T demo

although I doubt they would be useful for your characters
