where did my helpful button descriptions go?

I’m totally new with this all this and have just started messing around with Blender a bit.

It used to be that whenever I moved over a button a small yellow box would appear giving the name or brief description of what that button was about.
But now I am not getting these helpful descriptions anymore.

Does anyone know how to turn them back on again?

Nevermind with my above question.

There is a “ToolTips” button that for some reason wasn’t working. But after finally restarting my computer it seems to be working and it’s the button that solves my question.
