got a path with an object going round it.
look in ipo window - no curve anywhere!
Making an object follow a curve path doesn’t create an IPO curve, because to Blender the object isn’t really moving. You can check this by selecting the object, hitting the N key, then Alt-A and watch the object coordinates.
If you’re looking for the curve path’s Speed IPO, you need to open the IPO window menu with the little man next to it and select “Path” from the list.
i needed to make it continous… how do i do that?
i am trying to follow this tut.
http://download.blender.org/documentation/oldsite/oldsite.blender3d.org/166_Blender%20tutorial%20Tank%20tracks.html
thanks
What an ancient tutorial. Your problem is the interface has changed a lot since that version.
Select the Speed IPO and do the left-click stuff to add points as described in the tutorial. Then to make it cyclic/continuous, in the IPO header go Curve menu-> Extend Mode-> Cyclic.
Thanks
on the same tut he writes about dx and dy under
Getting the track right
where are they now?[
would like the objects to be the correct amount to fit the path
Like CD38 told you to goto “Path Context” in the IPO window, goto the Object Context and it’ll be in the righthand column, either dLoc, dRot or dScale. Rightclick the one you want in the column and make the IPO Curve with Ctrl-LMB on the grid.
