Where is the new particle mode hiding (svn?)

Heya;

I’ve been seeing things about this upcoming new particle-brushing mode in SVN or other experimental builds but I haven’t been able to find a build that has it yet.

I’m currently looking at this one from graphicall: http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=452

It’s got new particle options out the wazoo and some of the other new svn stuff, and it has an (undocumented, seemingly semi-useful) BAKE mode, but it does not seem to have the functionality of the particle mode mentioned at the bottom of:

I beleve bake mode is to replace particle mode…

Oh, yeah. I just took another look at it and found all the COMB MODE and stuff in a little drop down in the N panel that I had missed.

Now the only problem is that trying to select or comb more than a few hundred strands is so laggy I can’t seem to do anything.

The new particle system is awesome.

Star Weaver – that’s why you only work on a couple of hundred strands, then turn on Children to fill it out.
