Where next for Blender

It seems to me the need for a faster computer has already been mentioned in order for Blender to move on. Now there would also be the matter of backwards compatibility. I’m not a big techno but doesn’t that have to be broken from time to time. Anyway there seems to be a period of just cleaning up before moving on.

Bug fixing on 2.69x, developing on 2.7x, developing on 2.8x, thinking about 3.0, all in parallel, with the limited resources of Blender Foundation. Hmm, not optimistic.
