For future Blender projects, I’m looking for a good resource for characters to populate my scenes. I often work with medieval or WWII settings, so I’m specifically looking for soldiers, peasants, warriors, regular townsfolk, and similar characters.
These characters don’t necessarily have to be highly detailed, as most will be used in the background. Ideally, I’d like to find character packs that maintain consistent style and quality. Free options are welcome, but I’m also open to paying for good resources.
I’m essentially looking for a go-to site, similar to a good texture site, where I can easily find characters that fit my needs when I need them.
I just looked there, but could not really find anything more then 3 people.
Or do I maybe use the wrong words in the search? I usually look for stuff like “medieval character pack” “medieval crowds” “medieval npc pack” etc.
Thanks for the answer. As I said, they dont have to be super detailed. They are ment for the background mostly. I’m an environment artist and want to start populating my scenes with some people.
I did, but I cant seem to find packs of people, only max 3, which dont really is enough for big crowds.
Also, they are often too detailed and by that also a bit too expensive (for only 3 characters I would use in the background)
How come nobody mentions DAZ ?
Sure, it’s easy to spend thousands of dollars over there,
but the basic stuff has great anatomy, rigging, etc.
and is free to download. Also free is their DAZ to Blender bridge.
