Where's the (fairly basic) human body tutorial?

I can’t seem to find it anymore.
Tried almost every tutorial link I could find on Blender3d.com, various links off Blender3d.com. I tried here, but I cannot seem to find it anymore!

Does anyone know some nice (and easy to understand) human modeling tuts?

Thanks!

I’m sure they are out there, but to get you started, there are two basic schools here:
1-start with a single plane, and start building/extruding outward
2-start by making a very rough body, (making sure you don’t have any redundant faces inside),
2a-subsurf, manipulate your original vertices to distort the subsurf, then alt C to convert to mesh
2b-repeat 2a

Another way is to make your model out of ‘slices’ using surface curves, and then face them, using ctrl J and then F.

Also, if you can’t find the tuts, try changing your keywords, and definately use google.

You could start with http://www.neenjatech.org/projects/character/body/page1.html
although it isn’t the simplier tutorial out there.

Wow!? Hold on here! :o  What is subsurf??
The way I try to start is with a cilinder, modelled in roughly a body, then deleting the parts where the arms and legs should come and fill those again with an edited circle to make extrution possible…?

Not Blender specific but required reading.

Fairly detailed info on modelling the human form… Perhaps more than you need, but I thought that I’d mention it

There’s a more Blender-specific tutorial, from WizardNX on these forums:

Don’t know how old it is, though.
