Which are your favorite open movies?

After having seen all the open movies and going through the extra material on the Blender Cloud, I’m really curious what people think about them, so I thought I’d make a poll, ranking the short films in different categories. Like the Suzanne awards for the open movies I guess (with different categories).

my first favorite is cosmos laundromat, i like the story & the visuals, my second favorite is the daily dweeb, it’s short, cute, and i still laugh when i rewatch it

Personally, for most of this poll, I think that the questions are unlikely to be relevant. Most of us have not actually seen most of these movies, and it’s extremely difficult to weigh them as “best” on any particular technical topic.

Now, I was extremely impressed with the latest BF movie, Spring, which had not a single spoken word. It was a very original idea, good storytelling, and of course the technical finish that comes from using the latest incarnation of Blender technology. But could I compare it “against,” say, Big Buck Bunny? Honestly, no.

Well, you don’t have to judge them based on their technical achivements. Elephants Dream was the first and technically least advanced movie, but I thought it had a pretty good concept and one of the best environment designs - in my opinion just barely surpassed by Spring’s living forrest.
